June meeting has sweet touch

Members enjoy shortcake while discussing items

SENECA — The Seneca American Legion Auxiliary met on June 19, 2012 at the Seneca Fire Station. Members enjoyed strawberry shortcake prepared by hostess Vivian Maierhofer.

Treasurer Jeri Foster made members aware of the need for a fundraiser. A bake sale in the fall in conjunction with the cookouts at Seneca Foods was considered. Funds in the ALA’s activity account are dwindling due to the many wonderful projects it has been involved in this year. However, its veteran’s account is flush due to the generosity of the Seneca community during Poppy Days in May.
