Don't let down on cyber security

PEORIA, Ill. (MCT) — Fewer people were affected by a recent computer virus than had been feared, but that doesn't mean people should let their cyber-guards down, said a local security analyst.

Earlier this month, the FBI turned off Internet servers that were functioning as a temporary safety net to keep infected computers online for the past eight months, said John Allison, an analyst with CIAN, 1803 W. Detweiller Drive.
