WILMINGTON, Ill. — Mr. Eugene "Gene" Sherman Kahler, 72, of Wilmington, Ill., passed away Monday morning, July 16, 2012, at his home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 20, at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, Wilmington. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 21, in the funeral home, with Pastor Danny Chrestman officiating.
 
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington, with Eugene Kahler, Billy Barton, Eric Ryder, Jared Chrestman, Isaac Orr and Joe Rodawald acting as pallbearers and Brendon Shirey, Blaine Shirey and Blake Shirey as junior pallbearers.
