FAMU president, who quit in hazing scandal, to step down immediately
ORLANDO, Fla. (MCT) — Trustees at Florida A&M University decided Monday that President James Ammons should step down immediately, taking with him a pay package of more than $440,000 to be paid during the coming year.
The bonuses and sabbatical salary were part of previously negotiated job contracts, including one signed just days before the hazing death of drum major Robert Champion in Orlando.
