Unexpected donations
COAL CITY — Paula Pfeifer, branch manager of Centrue Bank in Coal City, and Melissa Ventola, a personal banker at Centrue Bank, present edJoan Sereno, executive director of Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice, with two checks recently.
One was a donation from the bank to the Hospice for $2,158, money the bank raised by selling cookbooks put together with employee submitted recipes.
