Nettle Creek says farewell to Pasteris
Open house provides opportunity to wish departing superintendent well
Three weeks into his new job, former Superintendent Pete Pasteris returned to Nettle Creek School to bid a final farewell to the Foxes Tuesday evening.
"When I made my decision, school was already out," Pasteris said about deciding to accept the superintendency at Hinckley-Big Rock Unit School District 429 last month. "I didn't get a chance to say goodbye."
So the Parent Teacher Organization and the Board of Education at Nettle Creek District 24C organized an open house for community members, parents, teachers and students to wish Pasteris luck at his new school.
