Stanley E. Fonfara
COAL CITY, Ill. — Mr. Stanley E. Fonfara, 74, of Coal City, Ill., and formerly of Lockport, Ill., passed away Monday, July 16, 2012, at Morris Hospital.
Born May 15, 1938, in Chicago, Stanley was a son of the late Peter Albert Fonfara Sr. and Jerry Elizabeth Bucholz-Fonfara. He was raised and educated in Chicago; worked for Ingersoll Products as an office manager for 30 years; and continued employment with Drummond American, where he was a sales representative.
Stanley also enjoyed being a musician for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Jean (Iattoni - Seemayer), whom he married on Dec. 20, 2000; three sons, Todd (Karen) Fonfara of Homer Glen, Ill., Scott Fonfara of Joliet, Ill., and Glenn Seemayer of Bettendorf, Iowa; one granddaughter, Nicole Fonfara; one brother, Pete (Barbara) Fonfara of Lansing, Ill.; and one sister, Cherryl Fonfara (Dennis Johnson) of Riverside, Ill.; as well one nephew Zachary Johnson.
Visitation and video tribute will be held Thursday, July 19, from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. in Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway, Coal City. Pastor Dale Tolly from the First Presbyterian Church in Braidwood will officiate. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Friday morning, July 20, in Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pontiac. Friends wishing to attend the graveside services are asked to meet at the cemetery.
