Blockbuster anticipation

‘Dark Knight’ has me more excited than any major summer release that I can remember

“Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan” opened on Nov. 3 (I should remember that date — it’s the wife’s birthday) in 2006.

I had to double-check that “Borat” didn’t open in the summer. Now that I can confirm it didn’t, I can truly say this is the first time I can remember being this excited to see a summer blockbuster in the theatre.
I’m talking, of course, about the “The Dark Knight Rises,” the sequel to “Batman Begins” and my favorite superhero movie of all time, “The Dark Knight.” It’s supposedly the final installment in Christopher Nolan’s Batman series, which means it’ll have to hold us over for a couple of years until someone else does their own multi-part take on the caped vigilante.

What is your stance on a proposed 1 percent sales tax to fund local school building projects?

I'm in favor of anything that will help improve school finances
I will support it if it helps to lower my property taxes
I oppose it because I don't believe it will impact property taxes and I will just pay twice
I'm against any additional taxes
I have not heard enough yet to form an opinion
