Imogene G. Leonard

WILMINGTON, Ill. — Mrs. Imogene G. Leonard, 85, of Wilmington, Ill., passed away Friday, July 20, 2012, at The Bickford House in Bourbonnais, Ill.

Born April 13, 1927, Imogene was a daughter of the late Ralph and Edna Eberly. She was raised and educated in Whiting, Ind., and on July 31, 1948, married Richard J. Leonard Sr. in Saint John’s Catholic Church in Whiting. Richard preceded her in death on May 21, 2012.

Imogene is the mother of Karen (Tom) Woock of Cook, Minn., Pamela (Joe) Fonck of Wilmington, Audrey (Dennis) Koehn of New York Mills, Minn., and Richard J. (Debra) Leonard Jr.of Wilmington; the grandmother of 11, Valerie (Russ) Werkmeister, Christopher (Tina) Fonck, Sharon (Mike) Haley, Joe Fonck, Andy Fonck, Cyndi (Jeff) Young, Brian (Lisa) Koehn, Kevin (fiancé Emily) Leonard, Patrick (Selena) Leonard, Mark (Wendy) Leonard, Brandi (David) Schlieper; great-grandmother of 19, Cole, Allison, Cody, Riley, Jake, Jordan, Sean, Declan, Issac, Jason, Justin, Brent, Faith, Payton, Owen, Michael, Evan, Addison and Jonathan; great-, great-grandmother of Ethan and Carissa; sister of the late Donald (Sandra) Eberly of Indianapolis, Ind.; and aunt of Lisa Kappel and Laura Kirwin.

Visitation and video tribute will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, Wilmington. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
