Steffes already busy as Morris' first new fire chief in decades
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind for Morris' new fire chief.
Since taking office July 1, Morris Fire Protection and Ambulance District Chief Tracey Steffes has met with numerous groups and agencies, as well as taken up the work of moving into a new space at Station 2.
Steffes said, so far, the change in leadership has gone smoothly.
