Debra Michniak filed suit July 11 against Sparrow Industries, Inc. and DJ's West Express Care over a July 2011 incident in which she was injured by a fall on the business' property.

On July 30, 2011, according to the complaint, a variance in height between two slabs of concrete caused Michniak to fall. The complaint charges premises liability and negligence on the behalf of both Sparrow Industries, Inc. and DJ's West Express Care, stating that the businesses failed to provide a safe place for walking, to remedy the height variance and to warn others of the height difference.    

Michniak is seeking at minimum $50,000 in compensation for her injuries.
