A fair amount of skill

4-H members show wide range of abilities

It's not every day that Jax and Mason Canik get to spray down a sudsy pig or pat a horse's nose.

The boys, ages 6 and 3, respectively, were at the Grundy County 4-H Fair Saturday morning to do just that with their grandfather, Paul Canik. The two said they don't usually get to see farm animals in Bolingbrook, where they live.

Paul, who lives in Morris, said it's a chance for them to see all kinds of animals. Jax checked off ones they've already seen — pigs, goats, horses. Paul said they still had yet to see rabbits and sheep.
