Four take AAIM honor
Morris officers recognized for DUI vigilance
Four Morris police officers were recently recognized for their role in arresting impaired drivers.
Sgt. Monty Allbert and Patrolmen Curt Kneller, Charles Newton and Paul Burke were each honored by the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists, also known as AAIM, an Illinois non-profit that seeks to reduce the number of injuries and deaths resulting from impaired or distracted drivers.
Morris Police Chief Brent Dite said the certificates are handed out to law enforcement officials throughout the state based on number of arrests of citizens driving under the influence.
