Caterpillar strike drags into its fourth month
JOLIET, Ill. (MCT) — On a scorching day, machinist Mike Kinkin talked quietly about his anger and disappointment with Caterpillar Inc., the target of his union's strike, which stretches into its fourth month Wednesday.
"We are Americans and we have never been treated so badly," said the white-mustachioed 58-year-old. Kinkin and several other union members sat on beach chairs beneath a giant umbrella that sheltered them from the sun but not the heat and humidity.
