Donald R. Swanson

SPRING HILL, Fla. — Mr. Donald R. Swanson, 86, of Spring Hill, Fla. passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012.

Born Dec. 20, 1925 in Chicago, Donald was the son of Algot and Gerda Swanson. The family moved to the Kinsman, Ill., area in the spring of 1929, when Don was 4 years old. He relocated to Morris in 1956.

Donald worked in the construction business for most of his life and built several homes in the Morris area. He was a partner in the Morris Construction Company from 1970to 1988, and retired to Florida in the summer of 2000.

He will always be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.

Survivors include his loving brother, Leonard ( Diane) Swanson of Morris; sisters, Margaret Johnson of Morris and Janet Mass of Carlsbad, Calif.; four children, Linda (Clifford) Deason of Loveland, Colo., Larry (Johna) Swanson of Oldsmar, Fla., Cindy Erickson of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Jeffrey Swanson, Ga.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by all.
