BRIEFS: State Police hold car wash for Marines

JOLIET — On July 7, Illinois State Police District 5 in Joliet assisted the United States Marine Corps by donating the use of their facility to conduct a car wash fundraiser.

Proceeds will help to reduce the price of tickets for junior Marines to attend their 237th annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball. A total of 26 cars were washed, raising $501.
