Board to consider three administrator options

Committee offers replacing, hiring interim, using current staff

The Grundy County Board's Personnel Committee voted to give the full board three options regarding what to do with the newly opened county administrator position.

On July 31, administrator Shawn Hamilton resigned immediately to take a job as interim city manager for Park Ridge.

After much discussion, it was decided to present the county board with either posting the position and proceed with replacing Hamilton as soon as possible, looking into hiring an interim until the next election, or have current staff do the administrator duties until the election in November.
