Bruno Muzzarelli
COAL CITY — Bruno Muzzarelli, 97, of Coal City, passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Morris Hospital.
Born July 31, 1915, in South Wilmington, Ill., Bruno was the son of the late Battista and Nerina (Turchi) Muzzarelli.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. He received a Purple Heart, four Bronze Stars with Oak Leaf Clusters and a Combat Infantry Badge. He was injured at the D-Day invasion and sent back to serve again in Battle of the Bulge.
