Quinn to sign bill extending enterprise zones for 25 years

(MCT) — Gov. Pat Quinn on Tuesday is expected to sign into law a bill that extends the lifespan of special taxing districts by 25 years.

The so-called enterprise zones allow businesses to tap incentives, including tax credits, property tax abatements and sales tax exemptions. The state's first 97 zones would have begun to expire next year.
