Tropical Storm Ernesto continues toward Mexico
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (MCT) — An up-and-down Tropical Storm Ernesto is forecast to strengthen into a hurricane by Tuesday and take aim at Belize or Mexico’s Yucatan with sustained winds of 85 mph.
At 5 p.m. EDT Monday, the system was in the Caribbean about 135 miles northeast of Cabo Gracias A Dios, on the Nicaragua-Honduras border, moving northwest at 12 mph with sustained winds of 65 mph.
