Firefly 5K beats the heat; dodges rain
CHANNAHON — The Firefly 5k run at Channahon’s Three Rivers Fest got off to a great start and the final competitor crossed the finish line before the first raindrops fell.
Though the sky was quite foreboding Thursday night, both the kids one-mile run and the 5K went off without a hitch, Channahon Park District Athletic Program Supervisor Derek Radek said.
Radek was both elated and relived.
