Shapard to discuss journey as writer
Author to lead Sept. 13 presentation at the library
Whether you already have a story to tell or are thinking about writing one, Johanna Shapard will describe her journey from the first word on the page to working with a publisher and what she learned in-between.
Johanna Shapard writes romantic suspense in the 1920s as Annalisa Russo Shapard will speak on her style and writing process, the mechanics of writing, how to find an agent/publisher and what to expect after the signed contract.
The lecture/presentation will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13 and will also include a question-and-answer session.
Copies of Johanna Shapard’s (pseudonym Annalisa Russo) new book, Rags to Rubies, will be available for purchase.
Anyone interested in attending the lecture is encouraged to stop in or call the library at (815) 942-6880 to register.
This program is free and open to the public.
