‘Spirit of the Rock’ unites people to honor Starved Rock
Spiritual celebration will take place Sunday at newest venue
UTICA, Ill. — Starved Rock Lodge in Utica, Ill., will host a “Spirit of the Rock” event in which people from all walks of life will come together to give honor to the spirits of Starved Rock.
Gwen Bray, Bonnie Potthoff and Gerard Beach will lead a spiritual exploration, utilizing stories and native traditions. The sounds of flutes and drums will enhance the event.
The “Spirit of the Rock” will take place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 at Fox Ridge, the newest venue located across from the lodge.
Dinner will follow from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the main dining room.
