Security experts prepare steps to deal with ‘active shooters’

MILWAUKEE (MCT) — While most of us have participated in fire drills since we were small children, very few of us have even a remote idea of what to do when faced with someone who is indiscriminately shooting and killing people.

Security and law enforcement officials call it an “active shooter,” and a growing number of schools, hospitals and businesses across the nation are taking steps to prepare for just such a situation.
