Seneca police warning against blacktopping, driveway scams
Seneca Police Chief Ray Meglan is warning against a two scams that have been reported in the village and in La Salle County.
According to a department news release, a scam involving blacktopping work has been reported to local authorities. Through the scam, residents have reported being approached by male subjects asking if they want their driveway blacktopped and give them a low estimate to do it, then inform the resident the work would cost more than expected and they would owe more money.
