Bears’ Urlacher steadfast in belief he will start opener
BOURBONNAIS, Ill. (MCT) — No matter how many different ways the question was phrased regarding the timetable for his return, Brian Urlacher maintained the same stance he expressed before having arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Tuesday.
“Sept. 9, that’s all I care about,” the Bears middle linebacker said in reference to being in the starting lineup for the season opener against the Colts. “. . . Our goal is Sept. 9. That’s what I’ve been told.”
