At village mayor's urging, school board seeking input on the possibility

GARDNER — Someday soon, students in the southern part of Grundy County could be graduating from GSWB High School.

The Gardner South Wilmington High School Board of Education, it was announced Friday, is beginning the process of exploring a name change for the high school located in Gardner, but serving students from multiple communities.

Over the years, there have been requests and inquiries regarding changing the name of Gardner South Wilmington High School. The latest exploration comes in response to a recent request from James Homa, the mayor of Braceville.
