Morris sophomore football team set to start season

The Morris sophomore football team is ready for its season opener against Minooka Friday night. The Redskins return as conference champions from a year ago with a record of 7-2.

The Morris offense is led by quarterback Griffin Sobol and Jake Walker — the leading rusher a year ago for Morris. Robbie Meucci at fullback and Josh Hulbert at running back will also be a major part of the Morris backfield.

The offensive line features Zach Hansen at center, Mark Lincoln and Ryan Kowalczyk at right and left guard, and Andrew Faught and Eric Haish at right and left tackles.
