JJC ranks in nation’s top 100 associate degree granting institutions

JOLIET, Ill. — Joliet Junior College was ranked among the top 100 institutions in the nation that granted associate degrees in 2011 with a total of 1,431 degrees conferred, a 23 percent increase over the previous year.

The data, which included both two- and four-year institutions, was compiled by Community College Week, a publication that serves as an independent source of in-depth information for and about two-year college faculty, administrators and trustees. The report was published in the June 11, 2012 issue of the magazine.

In addition, JJC ranked nationally as 38th for general sales, merchandising and related marketing operations associate degrees and 43rd for agriculture, agricultural operations, and related sciences associate degrees conferred.
