Morris High juniors score better than state, national average on ACT
Composite score down from previous year, but still post second-best performance since 2008
Morris Community High School District 101's class of 2012 performed better than the national and state averages on the ACT.
The district's composite score is 21.4, slightly lower than last year's 21.9, but still higher than the national average of 21.1 and the state's composite of 20.9. The national average includes states that only test their college-bound students and states that test all their juniors.
"It's above the state average and our second best performance since 2008," Superintendent Dr. Pat Halloran said.
