All eyes on judge in Peterson case
(MCT) — It's been a long four weeks in Judge Edward Burmila's courtroom, where the veteran Will County judge has lost his temper with lawyers, considered three motions for mistrials and complained about what he called the "glacial pace" of Drew Peterson's murder trial.
He's criticized prosecutors regularly, rebuked a witness he thought was mocking him and even jokingly implied he might shoot himself in the head over his frustration with repeated attorney gaffes.
