Big plays as big as they get
MINOOKA — In a football game decided by eight points, there are likely going to be plenty of 'what ifs' to go around for the losing team. Often time there are defining plays in the game, some of which seem to slide under the radar.
"I've got to do a better job of leading the team," Minooka quarterback Joe Carnagio said on the field directly after the game. "The difference was that they had one big play and we had none."
The 'one big play' Carnagio was referring to was a 37-yard TD pass from Morris quarterback Zach Cinnamon to wide receiver Anthonee Monson with the Redskins leading 7-0 at the time. It came on a huge swing in momentum after Morris lineman Danny Friend tipped and intercepted a Carnagio pass one play earlier on the Minooka 37 late in the first quarter.
