BRACEVILLE, Ill. — Mr. Eric T. "Corky" Johnson, 75, of Braceville, Ill., and formerly of Coal City, Ill., passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at Morris Hospital.

Born April 1, 1937, in Joliet, Ill., Corky was a son of the late Eric Johnson Sr. and Rosella Mann-Johnson. He was raised in Joliet and honorably served in the United States Air Force. On July 21, 1967, Corky married Mary Shoudis. She preceded him in death on Jan. 6, 2004.

Corky was employed as a concrete finisher, retiring from Local Union #75. He was a member of the Ford Galaxy Club and the Coal City Area Club. He greatly enjoyed fishing and hunting, and will be remembered for his love of classic cars.
