Small adjustment pays big dividends for Sale
BALTIMORE (MCT) — All it took was a few steps to Chris Sale’s right to make the White Sox left-hander more effective pitching inside to right-handed hitters.
Taking a simple suggestion from pitching coach Don Cooper, Sale has limited right-handers to a .227 batting average in his first full season as a starter after previously experiencing difficulty trying to jam right-handed hitters.
