Fourth of July redo planned for Sept. 1

OTTAWA, Ill. — Ottawa First’s Fourth of July redo festival on Saturday, Sept. 1, will have more than just the many rockets bursting in the sky. A whole day of fun is planned with live music, food and a free kids block of activities.

Three bands will headline the event starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, in Ottawa’s Jordan Block. Cody Calkins starts the Fireworks Festival and plays around 3 p.m., Johnny Russler and the Beach Bum Band play around 6 p.m. and King Corey’s (formerly Lubriphonic) will kick-off their set after the fireworks, which will fly in the evening at dark.
