Governor vetoes gaming expansion bill
(MCT) — Gov. Pat Quinn vetoed the latest attempt to legalize slot machines at horse tracks and expand gaming in Illinois.
The governor's veto was issued Tuesday morning. In his statement, the governor said any gaming expansion in the Land of Lincoln should be "undertaken thoughtfully and carefully."
