White Sox’ Axelrod limits Orioles to 3 hits in win
BALTIMORE (MCT) — Dylan Axelrod more than fulfilled his role Wednesday night as the White Sox’s stopper, and the offense hopes it can extend its revival by the time Axelrod returns Monday.
Axelrod was optioned to Double-A Birmingham after pitching 71/3 innings of three-hit ball that guided the Sox to an 8-1 victory here over the Orioles that halted a two-game losing streak.
