COAL CITY — Mrs. June Pantaleone, 81, of Coal City, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore, Ill.

Born May 4, 1931, in Maine Township, Grundy County, June was a daughter of the late Thomas McLuckie, Sr., and Rose (Marta) McLuckie. She was raised and educated in the Coal City area, graduated from Coal City High School with the class of 1949 and earned her degree in physical education from University of Illinois in 1953.

On Oct. 15, 1955, June married James Pantaleone at Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City. She taught physical education in the Coal City School District at both the high school and intermediate school for many years until her retirement.
