Coal City forward Zack Pierard has been playing the game of soccer for the last 15 years or so. Entering his senior season with the Coalers, Pierard is hoping the years spent on the soccer pitch with his teammates will help pay off by the end of the fall season.

A slow start by the Coalers has not deterred Pierard or the locals from pressing forward with eyes on finally winning a regional title.

Recently, Pierard took time out of his schedule to engage the Morris Daily Herald in this week's Question and Answer session.
