Emanuel talks up Obama as problems await back home

(MCT) — Mayor Rahm Emanuel praised President Barack Obama's leadership skills on the opening night of the Democratic National Convention, focusing on how his former boss tried to address the "deep and dangerous" crises of an economic implosion, auto industry meltdown and two wars.

"Every challenge was different. Every choice was difficult. But every time, the leadership was steady," said Emanuel, the president's first White House chief of staff.
