Durbin meets with students following their 'dream'
(MCT) — Alejandro Molina Hoyos of Pingree Grove has dreams of earning a degree and becoming a mechanical engineer.
But the 18-year-old who recently started classes at Elgin Community College said he's come across road blocks because he has no Social Security number. His parents brought him illegally to the United States when he was 5 to escape violence in their home country of Colombia.
