Illinois needs more from running game this week
(MCT) Illinois running back Donovonn Young used to room with tight end Jon Davis, so he felt extra pride watching Davis line up in the backfield and power to several big carries in the opener against Western Michigan.
“But this week,” Young said, “the running backs need some yards.”
After a week of uncertainty on the Illini offense, Young isn’t the only one who wants to see that development Saturday at Arizona State (1-0).
