Question & Answer — Aspen Stuedemann

SENECA — Aspen Stuedemann spends up to 11 months playing volleyball each year. If she is sidelined for any length of time, something significant has likely happened.

Something significant did happen in the form of a major arm injury Stueudemann suffered at the tail end of the 2012 girls track and field season at Seneca High School. It hampered her ability to prepare normally for the beginning of her senior girls volleyball season at SHS.

Seven matches into that senior year, Stuedemann is on the court, and not limited beyond a wrap she keeps on her arm at every match. She has moved from middle blocker to outside hitter, making it unlikely she can match her team-high 73 blocks from 2011, but hopeful she can improve on her 94 kills and .112 kill efficiency. Prior to today's Lady Irish Invitational, Stuedemann shared her thoughts with the Morris Daily Herald.
