Historical Society to celebrate 39th annual Fall Festival Sept. 29-30

YORKVILLE, Ill. — The Kendall County Historical Society will host its 39th annual Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 29-30 at the Lyon Farm and Village, 7935 Illinois 71, east of  Rt. 126, Yorkville.

Activities each day will include crafts, antiques and flea market booths.  Come and see old time  demonstrations of wool spinning, quilting and farm demonstrations  of straw baling, log sawing, corn cob grinding, plowing and bee keeping.

Antiques cars, tractors, trucks and small engines will be on display both days.  Sheep shearing demonstration will take place throughout the day on Saturday.  

Sunday will include an all-day car show.

Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children 7 to 12 and free to children 6 and under.
