Improved service
Morris' hitting ran hot and cold Tuesday in its Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference East varsity girls volleyball opener, but all night, its serving was just right.
The Redskins made just one service error and had four aces to Kaneland's four errors and two aces. Those small edges were significant in a pair of closely-contest games won by the Redskins, 26-24 and 25-21, on their home floor.
"We've come very far at it," sophomore outside hitter Joanna Nowicki said of the Redskins' serving. "We've worked really hard to get better at it, and it's paid off. It's one of the things we do best now."
