Minooka maintains, beats Oswego in volleyball

MINOOKA — Though the first 22 points of Tuesday's Southwest Prairie Conference volleyball contest with Oswego, Minooka coach Chris Hoelscher had seen enough. Trailing the Panthers 13-9, she had one thing she wanted to ask the Indians.

"I keep track of how all the points are scored as we go, and when I called that time-out, I asked them to tell me how many times Oswego scored on their own," she said. "They were all unforced errors. That has been the bane of our existence so far this season."

Things didn't get immediately better for the Indians right after the time-out, however, as Oswego went up 20-15. It was then that Minooka made its move in the come-from behind 26-24, 25-21 win.
