Testimony begins in trial of man accused of killing girl in 1957
CHICAGO (MCT) — With memories that remain intense, witnesses in court Monday described the mounting anxiety in Sycamore, Ill., on the night more than half a century ago when a 7-year-old girl disappeared, never to be seen alive by friends and family again.
Their accounts of Dec. 3, 1957, came on the first day of the bench trial of Jack D. McCullough, 72, of Seattle, who is accused of the kidnapping and murder of Maria Ridulph.
