Carl Lee Buegel

GARDNER — Mr. Carl Lee Buegel, 48, passed away suddenly Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at his home in Gardner.

Carl was born Jan. 3, 1964, in Chicago.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in several tours, including Grenada, Panama, where he received a bronze star, Desert Storm and Somalia. He was member of the VFW in Morris.

Carl was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Carl was very comical and was known for his great personality.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa (Watkins) Buegel of Gardner; 10 children, Carlos Donald Buegel of California, Aaron Buegel of Georgia, Anthony Buegel of Gardner, Angela Buegel of Georgia, Carl Buegel, Jr. of Georgia, Donald Hamilton of California and Samantha, Brittany, Victoria and Alexandria Buegel, all of Gardner; one granddaughter, Justice Hamilton; two sisters, Sandra (Robert) Murrah of Gardner and Deborah Kyker of Stickney, Ill.; two brothers, Charles (Sue) Buegel of Washburn, Ill., and Ricky (Chris) Buegel of Romeoville; mother, Gerener (Brown) Buegel of Gardner; step-sister, Donna (Bob) Rasor of Bourbonnais, Ill.; special friend, Sherri Davis of Romeoville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Otto Buegel.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd., Braidwood Chapel.

Interment with military honors will be at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes in Braidwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, 1020 19th St. NW, Suite 475, Washington, DC, 20036, in his name would be appreciated.
