Healthy tailgating ideas

Fall is the time for football and the American tradition of tailgating.

Here are some healthier ideas for tailgating parties:

Entrees:

Turkey/chicken brats or sausages

Hebrew Park Reduced Fat or Fat-Free Hot Dogs

Burgers made with ground sirloin

Turkey Burgers with 2% cheese

Grilled chicken breasts

Pile your sandwiches with veggies: tomatoes, onion, greens, avocado

Sides:

Baked chips and salsa

Reduced-fat potato chips

Oil and Vinegar Coleslaw

Grilled vegetables

Veggies and low-fat dip or salad dressing, or hummus

Fruit salad

Beverages:

Lite Beer (Not too many! Each lite beer still has ~100 calories!)

Diet pop

Lite Lemonade

Water or seltzer water

Remember to drink responsibly and have fun!
