Senecan chairs Illinois Special Olympics Board
Suzanne Thompson of Seneca drives a car with a license plate that reads: WWSOD.
Those five letters came from a speech Thompson gave in 2006 at the first-ever Special Olympics National Games in Ames, Iowa.
She was attending the games as a parent. Her daughter, Caitlin Cox, was chosen to represent the state of Illinois in bowling and Thompson, along with many other family members, was there for support.
